What can I put in the green recycling box?

A: You can recycle newspapers, magazines, paper, junk mail, glass bottles and jars, tins, cans and aerosols, card and light cardboard in the green recycling box. You can also recycle all types of plastic bottles. Please make sure all items are clean and loose inside the bin.What’s your return policy?



What plastics do you accept for recycling?

We accept all types of plastic bottles, including drinks bottles, milk bottles,cleaning/detergent bottles and toiletry bottles.


Can I recycle the tops from plastic bottles?

Yes, please remove them from the plastic bottles and place in the green recycling box.


What kinds of paper are acceptable?

Newspapers and magazines; white office paper and envelopes with the plastic window removed; brown paper bags and envelopes; all types of catalogues and brochures; leaflets and glossy paper inserts including junk mail.


Can I put out shredded paper for recycling?

Yes, a small amount is acceptable. Please put it in a newspaper or other paper before putting it into the green recycling box to avoid it blowing around and littering the area. If you have large quantities of shredded paper please take it to the Swindon Road recycling centre.


What cardboard can I place in my green recycling box?

You can recycle cardboard such as breakfast cereal boxes, ready meal outer wrappers, pizza boxes, greetings cards and card multipack drink boxes. Corrugated cardboard will also be taken as long as it fits within the recycling box, if necessary it can be cut down. As always all things need to be flattened to save space and also need to be clean. Please separate any plastic wrappers from the cardboard.
